South Asian journalists are invited to contribute stories on water and sanitation in the region for the Geneva-based Water Supply & Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) publication, 'Listening'. Known globally for its WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene for All) campaign, WSSCC first published the 81-page document 'Listening' in February 2004. In a run-up to the third South Asian conference on water & sanitation (SACOSAN) in Delhi on Nov 16-21, 2008, the India WASH Forum proposes to bring out a South Asian version of the document, provisionally entitled 'Asia Listening'. Twenty articles will be published, and will focus on the success or failure in the sanitation sector of a particular movement, whether non-government organisation or government programmes, or an international initiative. Send all inquiries to darryldmonte@gmail.com. For more information about WSSCC, visit http://www.wsscc.org/en/resources/publications/index.htm. |
