IFEJ Holds Congress for Journalists Oct. 28-30
|
The International Federation of Environmental Journalists (IFEJ) is holding its congress at the India Habitat Centre (IHC) October 28-30, 2009, with the theme 'Bridging North-South Differences in Reporting Climate Change: Journalists' Role in Reaching an Agreement at COP15 in Copenhagen'. Concurrent with the conference are computer-assisted reporting sessions (CAR) through the three days with two mainstream Norwegian journalists who also teach what they practise. The congress aims to gather participants from industrial and developing countries to air their viewpoints on the controversial issue, which could lead to greater insights into this most crucial global problem. Each half-day session costs 1,000 rupees (22 U.S. dollars) and anyone who is interested in attending any of them needs to pay the fees in advance. All CAR participants, who may or may not not attend any of the IFEJ sessions, have to register and compulsorily bring their own laptops to a designated wi-fi room in the IHC. Send your queries to IFEJ vice chair Keya Acharya at keya.acharya@gmail.com. For more information, see attached documents below.
